The End is the Beginning

I realize it has been quite a while since I have updated my project progress. It is with great news that I announce that I am finished with the first novel for The End series (cover pictured left). I actually finished back at the start of August. For a few days now, it has become unavailable for readership on Wattpad. Why? Well, I am querying agents!

With that being said, my work here is not done with the series while I wait with bated breath for agents to respond. I have much more to do.

I have started myriad more projects on Wattpad (okay, not myriad, but two books there and two books that I'm writing beyond the veil of privacy... it adds up). I'm vigorously re-updating my query letter every time I find more insight or get more feedback. I have been rejected, already, nine times. I have visited professionals on my college campus to make connections and get more feedback; I am slotted to attend a writer's conference in October.

I have joined two writer's associations (IWWG and the James River Writers Association) and am slowly establishing platforms on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and even Tumblr when I have the strength. All between having a part-time job, full-time course load and learning to play guitar and ride horses. And you think I'm done there? Don't forget about study abroad opportunities I'm weighing along with the impending doom of an LSAT in February.

That being said, if you check on Wattpad, I still have books for you to enjoy. I intend to keep Eternal Sleep free and public for all to read forever there, as it was my first attempt there and is more of a fun project than anything I see myself pursuing seriously. Everything else is grounds for removal as soon as I hit the "complete" button. I'll likely leave completed works up for five days and then no longer. Then they will recede as did the first and second books of The End so that I can begin querying for those, too.

Enjoy the beta reads while they last and wish me luck! With any graces from the writing world, I'll update here some time in the future to tell you that it's out for the public to read! If not... maybe it will return to Wattpad or become a self-publishing project. In the meantime, it is gone... gone but to a few beta readers who I have chosen to have access to it even beyond its removal.
